TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR SAMPLE CHEMICAL ANALYSIS (GEOCHEMICAL LAB) BACKGROUND
TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR SAMPLE CHEMICAL ANALYSIS (GEOCHEMICAL LAB)
Ngali Mining Limited (NML) is a Private Limited Company registered in November 2015 under the Rwandan law, fully owned by NGALI Holdings and the latter being a public-owned enterprise. NML was created for investment purpose and improving the Mining service delivery basing on best practices internationally accepted. NML is currently conducting a geoscientific exploration Program (2019-2020) including; Diamond drilling, geophysics and geological mapping and sampling that will generate a number of samples (chip rock, core, soil and stream sediment) to be chemically analyzed in accredited and certified geochemistry laboratory for further considerations.
SCOPE OF THE ASSIGNMENT
A total of 1245 samples will be sent to the laboratory during the period January-April 2020.
General sample description
1. Rock chip samples = 500 pcs/ pulps-screen soils (powder).
2. Stream sediment samples = 240 pcs/ pulps-screen soils (powder).
3. Core samples (DD) = 500 pcs/ pulps-screen soils (powder).
4. Bulk samples - Carbon rich Fossil-Coal samples (5 pcs).
Samples obtained from NML’s exploration campaign will be dispatched from Rwanda in batches. Sample preparation (milled to 0.05 mm or 300#) will be conducted in a lab in Rwanda, except Carbon rich Fossil-Coal samples (5 pcs). For this reason, only chemical analysis of the pulps, (free) storage of pulps for a determined period of time as well as return to NML after these three months is required for this tender.
The trace level chemical analysis requested should satisfy commonly accepted laboratory workflows and procedures for Li-Cs-Ta pegmatite, Sn-W and other Th (-REE) deposits. A sodium peroxide fusion for complete digestion/ recovery of resistate elements is requested. The analysis suite should contain a comprehensive suite of trace elements (48-52 elements), and must include K, Rb, Zr, Hf, Nb, Ta, Sn, W, Li, Cs, Th, Be and if possible B.
In addition, 385 samples (already prepared in Rwanda) will require trace level gold analysis with the following specifications: Au analyzed by fire assay and ICP-AES, nominal weight 50g.
