Dr. Vasily SAVIN is PhD in Geophysics and geophysical methods of mineral exploration, and has advanced training/certificates in Satellite geodetic systems and Geographic Information Systems in engineering surveys (2011) and Mining Geology (2018).
He is the Leading Geophysicist of Institute of Geology and Mineral Resources (Russian Federal Subsoil Resources Management Agency), the Expert of Scientific and Editorial Council for geological mapping (Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation), and the Guest Lecturer of St. Petersburg state University and Scientific-Technological Centre «Progress» (St. Petersburg, Russia).
Dr. Savin has worked as a consultant and key specialist in numerous exploration projects of gold, rare and base metals, oil and gas, groundwater; projects of general mapping; geotechnical projects.
He has significant experience in exploration and engineering geophysics including field work organization and coordination, data processing and interpretation, database building and managing, reporting, survey audit and supervision. His abilities allow to use various modifications of electrical, seismic, magnetic, gravity, radiometric methods and 3D modelling to solve a wide range of geological and geophysical problems.
He was awarded with the Certificate of Appreciation of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation signed by the Deputy Minister in 2015 and the Certificate of Appreciation of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation signed by the Minister in 2018.
